参加者の声 Voice of participants

There were no limitations in the Workshop. I was able to  leave behind all rules when I was drawing, just following the feeling.

At that moment I found out the deeper Self inside my heart, and found out the connection between people, environment, even objects.

I really do love the conversation with the other participants. Even though we spoke in different languages, but when we were looking through the artworks and the eyes, there was no distance between us.

I thought I was close to the essence of human being.

I was a third year student when I took the art workshop of Professor Zuse Meyer at Tokyo Institute of Technology for the first time. Her teaching totally changed my perception of reality and I became able to express myself as I feel, not just in the way of accurate depiction.
Art became very important for me, but how to find time and space in my always too busy daily life? By joining Zuse Meyer's art workshop at Aozora Bank I created "The Art Day" for me, now regularly integrated into my schedule.
Each time in the workshop I can meet the real artist Zuse Meyer. I enjoy to deepen my knowledge about art, artists and historical backgrounds and in the practice, I can increase the number of my artworks. This is real fun.

Having interest on painting or art in general, what are requirements for deepening it? Skill, talent, knowing philosophical context, or at any rate, something special? In the first place, why do I have interest on art? In Zuse Meyer's workshops, I was shown many answers to those questions through her view as an experienced artist. Actually, anyone can tap into a joy of creation and the essence in the heart of all arts. We can even find a clue to our life themselves through processes of art. Because she transmitted them from her own direct experience, they made a huge difference on my perspective of art and more than art.                  Watanabe Keisuke

The beauty of Zuse's workshop is not only her fine selection of the theme nor her acute sensitivity to the artist's backgrounds, but  I believe her greatest beauty is her magical powers to create a wonderful, alive , and welcoming creative atmosphere.

Every time I joined her workshops, I came out a new self and felt delightful to be so. It was like opening a door inside your heart that you have forgotten or have been scared to open, a door to YOUR creativity and ACTION.  Of course, she never force you to do anything, but make yourself open yourself.
In her workshop, everyone and every way are welcomed open-armed. Its' always an eye-opener.
